Foot Tendinitis is brought on by walking, running, fallen arches, standing for long periods of time, athletic activity, weight pressure, twisted ankles, and the aging process. As we can see from the diagram of the bottom of the foot, the main tendon (which is actually a ligament) originates from three branches and stretches backward to join and form the long plantar ligament, which then connects to the heel bone (calcaneus).
When we run, walk, jump, engage in sporting activities, such as tennis, golf, hand ball, racquet ball, or squash, we not only stress the ligaments, but also fatigue the ligaments on the bottom of our feet. This causes the ligaments to “rebel” and give rise to pain.
When our normal arch of the foot flattens or “falls”, it places an undue amount of stretching on the ligaments which releases only while sitting or lying. Standing for long periods of time and weight pressure increases the stress on the ligaments. Therefore, if you are over-weight, it increases your chances for plantar fascitis.
Of course, if your job requires you to stand all day, it increases your susceptibility to foot tendinitis.

Many different sporting activities are potential hazards for the feet: tennis = long periods of standing, plus a great deal of sudden starts and stops, increases the stress on the plantar ligaments. Similar problems with handball, racquet ball and squash.
Twisted ankles inward (inversion) or outward (eversion), This disturbs the normal weight distribution over the bottom surface of the foot. It can, on occasion, adversely affect the Achilles tendon.
Then there is the aging process: As we age the tendons and ligaments lose some elasticity and tone. They therefore tighten, and cause pain.
The purpose of any therapy that hopes to deliver lasting results is to increase the elasticity (bounce-back ability) of the tendon or ligament. Our therapy does just that! And it can be accomplished at home!
Present day therapies include: Orthotics (arches). However, many tendinitis victims have been “turned off” by orthotics. Why? Because they put the orthotics in their shoes, and expect to walk off into the sunset, and never have a problem again!!! There is a right way, and a wrong way to use arches.
Cortisone shots, especially if there is a calcium spur. The spur itself does not cause the foot pain, because it faces forward, not downward. The soft tissue around the spur becomes inflamed and produces the pain. This is why cortisone shots deliver temporary help.
The root cause of the foot pain is the plantar fascitis. Always remember that plantar fascitis (as well as all other forms of tendinitis or ligamentosis) likes to become chronic.
Chronic means it doesn’t totally want to leave your body. It tends to return again and again. If that happens, don’t dispair! Treat it with our home therapy, and it will behave!
A heel spur can develop as a direct result of the pulling and tugging of the plantar ligaments on the front lower part of the heel bone. (calcaneus). The spur always faces forward, so it does not cause the pain of the bottom of the foot near the heel.
Because the spur itself isn’t causing the pain, surgery is not an acceptable alternative. We have a natural, home-self remedy approach to this problem.
So, if you are engaged in a work or sporting activity that adversely affects the plantar ligaments, There is help! 1-262-673-5650.
